Dusty has now reached 2 months old in the left picture, where he learns more of the touching and rubbing, as well as starting to learn to stand, and a little on parking. In the right picture, Dusty is about 3 months, and has been stepping up on the make-believe bridge to pose. |

| He actually loved to do this as it made him feel so special. Dusty, as you can see, is very gentle and is being held by Red Cline, of Florida. Red loved to feed Dusty his special feed everyday, and Dusty thought this was just alright to have his picture taken together with Red. | ||||

Top
left picture is showing Dusty, 2 months old having complete trust in me -
I walk through the tire, and Dusty walks through the tire. This is a
trail training lesson. In the top right picture, we are handling all
of his feet.
This only makes it easier on the Farrier, when it is trimming and
shoeing time.
Start them young, and it is part of their regular handling.
Then in the bottom left picture, Dusty was showing how good he was, but if you notice the ears swiveled back, I think he was getting a little tired of this routine, and did it only because he was asked, The bottom right picture, shows Dusty on his raised bridge, with no halter, and very trusting of both Jo Jean and Clyde. Just an example of his willingness, and trust. |

| When working with a young colt, always be aware that the mother is protective, and will be there to protect their baby. | ||||
