We feel that training our horses from the first day, helps throughout their entire training progress. They have trust and know they will be treated with kindness. Our horses really become a part of our lives, and give us complete satisfaction when they are ready to ride, or be sold. We know that a buyer will have a horse they can enjoy and trust. |

| Step 1.
Imprinting ..started when the foal hits the ground, we begin touching and
rubbing the foal, and making certain the mare trusts us with her baby.
This foal is now grown into our beautiful palomino stallion,
C. J.’s Eldorado Golddust. I would love to walk you through some of the days I have spent with Dusty, and let you enjoy being with me to watch his progress. Dusty is 1 day old in this picture. |

Today I have made myself the same size as Dusty, so he is not looking at this tall object that is not familiar in his world. I have been very patient in letting him smell me and his mother knows I will not hurt the baby, Soon he is coming up to me and getting a gentle rub on the chin, neck and forehead. I am very quiet while working with this baby, as a sudden move or loud noise is not something to make this, a sociable visit. This is perhaps the first day of trust.. |

| Dusty has had daily contact with me, and he is now 2 months old. He has learned that I will not hurt him. He has learned that a halter and a rope, handled with care is not an enemy, and that he actually enjoys the attention. The older mares are checking him out and I think letting him know it is okay. He learned to be caught and haltered with just a gentle word, and he will willing walk up to me to be worked with. | |||||||
