let me tell you a story on Angel. she
is one helluva horse. I can't brag her up enough. I went to the pasture
Friday to do chores and was missing 5 horses (of which one was Sunday).
I searched all over and found a gate open with 4 wheeler tracks..
probably a turkey hunter and they don't know how to close gates
.
I looked for them until dark and couldn't find them so I went home.
Don had a colt starting clinic yesterday so he dropped me off at 5am, to
ride and find the. I saddled up Angel and spent almost 12 hours in the
saddle with her yesterday and covered every square inch of forest
service in that area. I finally found them almost 8 miles away
hanging out in a subdivision.
Angel was a such a trooper. I am so proud of her. we circled
and circled up there and she just plucked right along.
Anyway I found the horses so now the dilemma was how to get five
horses home. I put a halter on my gelding Eskimo( who was the ringleader
and I am sure), anyway the lady in the subdivision by where they were
argued with me. I told her I would pony Eskimo and the others would
follow and she said that wouldn't work and she was a horsewoman and had
been all her life and she knew that wouldn't work.
I told her I was a horsewoman also and I knew my horses and that it
would work
Anyway Angel ponied Eskimo all the way home and she had never ponied a
horse before but you would have sworn she had done it every day of her
life and all the others just trotted right along side all the way the
pasture, opened the gate and in they went just pretty as you please,
happy to be home
I was so proud of Angel she is such a great mind and is such a joy to
ride and work with and she made my job so much easier yesterday.
Anyway who buys her will get a heck of a horse. you should be
proud of her.
hugs and kisses
don and Terri
